MCGA 2022 Registration

As we close the garden for 2021 we look forward to when we can start the next season. Last year we tried electronic registration for the first time. We wanted to simplify the process moving forward. This year, registration will look similar if you are a new gardener or a returning gardener alike. This is a guide on what to expect.

Applying

  • Returning Gardeners: You will receive an email with the returning application form around November 13th. You have until December 19th to apply.

  • New Gardeners: The application form will be posted on the website on January 1st. Applications will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis as long as there is no reason to disqualify the application. We tend receive a surge of applications so it may take a couple of weeks to hear a response. We will also close applications after we have received a full waitlist.

Upon Acceptance

After you hear back that you are accepted for the upcoming season you will get a note that will ask you to complete the following. Note that after this year, returning gardeners will not need to pay for the deposit (because it will have already been collected) and they will not need to fill out a new rules and indemnification agreement.

  • Rules and Indemnification Agreement: A form that you and your co-gardener will each sign to abide by the rules and hold King County harmless.

  • Pay the Deposit: Pay a deposit for your plot. For more information about why we charge a deposit and how to get your deposit back please see our Plot Deposit page.

  • Pay the Plot Fee: Pay the fee for your plot. If you are directed to pay for a deposit it will be the same line item to avoid confusion, do not pay twice.
